About Us

Hi! I’m Ruth - the one woman band behind Nine Designs. I‘ve always loved sewing and being creative, so with a bit of extra time on my hands during lockdown in 2020, I decided to dust off the sewing machine and make a headband to help control my unruly lockdown hair. 

I had quickly made far too many headbands for one person to wear, so decided to create an Etsy shop and sell some on there. Since then, I have had over 1300 orders, and 200 five star reviews - which I still can’t get my head around!

All our hair accessories are handmade by me in my Norfolk studio.
